Head Housekeeper

Our Claridge House housekeeper is an integral part of the running of the retreat centre and reports to the Manager.
Head housekeeper role requires implementing health and safety compliances and procedures for smooth, safe running of the house. Head Housekeeper needs to be people oriented and offer a kindly presence, help arrange staff rotas, enjoy physical activity and happy to maintain our high standards. Review and communicate with suppliers regards laundry and cleaning requirements, ensure COSHH cupboard data up to date and stocked, potentially introduce eco products to maintain our sustainability targets. No one day is the same, you’ll go from preparing continental breakfasts, turning around rooms, set up main rooms for courses, to serving lunch. This is a physically demanding position and you’ll be fit as a fiddle in no time.
Due to the nature of the retreat world, we require weekend and morning availability (not every weekend however) when the majority of courses/retreats take place.
20 hours per week, 5 hour shifts, 4 shifts per week £14 p/hr. Welcome to participate in the occasional course, when available.
