Terms for Claridge House Course Leaders

1. Course leaders are requested to be residential during the course. One course leader will get accommodation and meals provided free.

2. 2-night Weekend courses, the course leader fee is £_________per head.

3-night Weekend courses, the course leader fee is £_________ per head

4-night courses, the course leader fee is £__________ per head

5-night courses, the course leader fee is £__________ per head

Only one tutor fee will be paid. Co-tutors must share the fee.

3. Travel expenses will be compensated on receipt of train tickets/mileage (rate per AA).

4. Payment made on receipt of invoice only.

5. Course leaders are not to take into their sessions anyone other than those people who have paid Claridge House to participate in the course.

6. A second tutor/spouse/partner accompanying the course leader, will be charged for accommodation

7. Partners will not be eligible as a course participant unless they pay the course fee.

8. The following medical diets are available: Vegan, Wheat-free, Dairy-free, Gluten-free and Sugar-free, and if required, must be requested on booking

9. Course leaders are asked to work in accordance with the usual Claridge House timetable. Session times and meal times are fixed and cannot be changed.

10. Course leaders must help promote and publicise their course and encourage would-be participants to be resident for it once dates have been agreed upon.

11. A charge will be made for photocopying (currently 5p per black and white copy, 15p for colour). This will be deducted from the fee or can be paid for in cash at the time.

12. Course leaders will be allowed to offer books, tapes etc. for sale to course participants

Unless agreed with Claridge House, and declared and printed in the advance programme, participants shall not be obliged to purchase additional material.

13. Due to limited resources, additional course details, including any list of equipment requirements to bring, or detailed timetables, can only be passed on to participants at the time of their booking. It is the responsibility of the course leader to provide such information when confirming the course dates, as details cannot be sent out after a guest has booked.

14. Course leaders are requested not to run course sessions during Quiet Times.

15. Course Leaders are requested to maintain contact with the House before the commencement of their course to establish number of participants and discuss any other relevant issues.

16. Cancellation by Course Leader:

a) If course leaders are unable to run their courses they must inform Claridge House as soon as possible.

b) Course leaders must provide a suitable, alternative course leader to run the course for the dates agreed upon in their stead, in agreement with Claridge House.

c) Course leaders are expected to compensate participants in full if they are unable to provide a suitable, alternative course leader to run the course in their stead see b)
