Held almost entirely in silence you can take the opportunity to relax into a supportive environment.
Some guidance will be offered as well as some instruction in Wutan Qigong for those that wish.
Arrival is from 4pm on Monday with an evening meal at 6pm with a formal introduction to the retreat at 7:30pm.
Please feel free to bring any cushions you require but there will be no incense to accommodate those with sensitivities in this area. The meals are well balanced vegetarian fare.
Whilst it wasn’t possible to offer these retreats on a Dana (donation) basis the facilitators/cooks will be offering their time gratis and there is also a bursary available for those in need
Course Leader Bio:-
Bodhimala – has been practicing mediation and yoga since 2000. First travelling to India to practice yoga on an ashram and later learning meditation within a Western Buddhist movement which she was ordained into in 2015. She enjoys Yoga, reading and walking and can be found foraging for Mushrooms in the Autumn.
Padmapriya – From a young age I knew I didn’t want a pedestrian life – by my thirties I had experienced what recreational drugs had to offer and found them wanting, equally so mainstream religion. I spent sometime with the Hari Krishna movement before going to India to train in the Sivananda School of Yoga. Whilst on retreat I met my first Buddhist and that was, as they say, that. Over the past thirty years I have had the good fortune to train my mind with several schools of Buddhadharma as well as work in, support and facilitate various Buddhists centres and retreats. “Buddha dharma is not a religion, it is the science of the mind and is, as such, able to be experienced by any who have the mind to do so.”
