Following on from two very successful and popular introductory Shamanic workshops, we’re delighted that Evelyn and George are returning to Claridge House in the Summer of 2026 for this transformative weekend.

You’ll be in very safe and experienced hands over the course of the retreat with two Course Leaders and Shamanic Practitioners who will be available throughout who will safely guide you through some extraordinary learning and practices.

Claridge House June 2026 weekend programme

 Friday

3.00pm check in to the House and rooms

4.00pm Tea and cake

4.30pm Opening circle, introductions and rules, talk about lineage

5.00pm Seeing and Being Seen

Because we will be working deeply with each other, we want to start with an exercise around truly seeing and being seen by the others in this room. As seer acknowledge your projections, your assumptions, your judgements. When being seen, acknowledge your fears, any resistance, any self-criticism.

6.30pm Dinner

7.30pm Journey for Spirit Guide

This is a journey to the upper world to meet with a Spirit Guide. Sometimes known as a guardian angel. These beings can be incredibly enriching in our lives. People who already have relationships with Spirit Guides are encouraged to participate as these guides, upon revisiting are often refreshed and sometimes new qualities and abilities are unlocked.

8.15pm Power retrieval

Using the Spirit Guide we undertake a journey to retrieve an aspect of ourselves previously lost.

9.15am Psychic Daggers and cords

First of all we will check each other for negative thought forms in the energy field, known as psychic daggers, or poisoned darts. These appear as foreign energies stuck in the body or the energy field. These may have been intentionally (professionally) or unintentionally (unprofessionally) sent to hurt people or prevent them moving forwards in life. We will remove them if present and cleanse and seal the space.

Then we move on to cord cutting (or cord-resetting) of unhelpful energetic ties with living people – not the dead. These can be people that you never intend to set eyes on again (a complete cut), or people that are in the family or your workplace or your social network. Maybe you love them and want to see them, but also want to change the energy because some co-dependence or other negative connections have arisen. Maybe you actually would prefer never to set eyes on them again, but you know you will come into contact with them and you want to remove the negativity. In such cases it needs to be a reset, not a complete cut, as there will be ongoing connection. It is never to hurt anyone – it is to allow people to move forwards without negative bindings.

10.45am Shamanic Breathwork

This work is undertaken in conjunction with the previously undertaken journey for the Spirit Guide. We then take that Spirit Guide into a gentle but deep, music lead, breath-work session where both participants, (breather and sitter) are encouraged to work with their Spirit Guide for the person who is breathing. Done in pairs.

2.00pm Soul retrieval

In the Soul Retrieval process we work with a limiting belief or repeating pattern that is keeping you stuck. You will do a shamanic journey into the Lower World, the world of the unconscious mind. You visit the cave of the original wound, then the cave of the contract made at the time of the wounding (in order to survive), the cave of the lost soul part (the part that was split off at the time of the wounding in order to be safe) and the cave of gifts with a gift whose qualities might assist you in your life right now, then on the way out of the underworld you see a creature with qualities that might be of service.

The journey tends to produce archetypes, myths and fairy tales. In the second part of the process you investigate what you received. The first intention of the work is to rewrite the contract from this day forward. Not because the old contract was wrong in any way. We (or our ancestors) wrote it at a time when we had been wounded and it was necessary to protect us. But it may no longer serve us today. By holding onto it, it becomes a limiting belief which continues to manifest in our lives. To change the pattern, we need to re-write the contract.

The second intention is to reunite the lost soul part, which we (or our ancestors) split off for its protection, within the psyche.

The gift and the power animal have qualities that may help us as we move to a new way of being, living by the new contract and integrating the lost soul part.

4.30pm Who Am I?

Or perhaps the question is better phrased as What am I? This is a metaphysical question that has spawned hundreds of books by philosophers around the world and across the ages. This exercise uses a disidentification meditation and then a consideration of your roles/hats you wear/things you do vs your true or Higher Self (a concept much in vogue again through the work of Internal Family Systems). It concludes with a visioning of the beautiful, healed path you would like your life to take from this day onwards, the path of joy, love, service, health, purpose.

 8.00am Journey for Protection

This is a journey to the lower world to meet with a spirt that will, once met, come back with us to the middle world to offer us protection 24/7. This journey is considered by many to be an appointment on the Royal Road, an appointment made in Spirit that we must keep.

9.15am Working with the ancestors

The shamans never worked with people just as individuals. They always saw people as part of a tribe, a family, a community. In this piece of work we will connect with three ancestors from the shamanic perspective, stepping outside conventional linear space and time into the Field. This is only for those who have passed over – only the dead. This brings us truly into the science of non-locality – entanglement in the Akashic field where all information is known and stored, the omniscient and omnipresent. From dozens of sessions we have observed and participated in, as well as our work with our clients, we truly believe that many of us at this time are consciously stepping into the role of not only healing ourselves, doing our own work, but also healing our karmic and geneologic lineages and reaching out to all humanity. This gives an incredible opportunity, but the weight of the work is enormous. Don’t underestimate the scope and scale of the work.

11.am Despacho and fire ceremony

The kausay pacha is the energy of the living universe and the pampa mesayoq shamans are experts at making wonderful offerings. These powerful and beautiful offerings, called despachos, can be made for any significant undertaking – but in the workshop we will do an ayni despacho to help bring us into ayni – which means right relationship with ourselves, others and the universe. After being created it is burned, sending the prayers and blessings of the despacho into the kausay pacha with the energy of the fire.

The fire ritual has been and continues to be of huge significance to shamans and other healers around the world, who believe that we can give things to the fire for closure; take things from the fire in renewal; feed our energies from the fire, and connect across space and time through the fire.

The Pachamama stick is to celebrate the bounty of this beautiful planet we live on and/or honour the pain and suffering we humans are causing it. Together we will create a beautiful ‘pachamama stick’ of natural elements, into which each person present can blow their blessings for this planet, and then we put this blessing into the fire.
